Functionality built in to the EAD electronics enables remote testing of the service both when it is faulty and on a day to day basis. It gives you access to current circuit information so you can invoke real time tests to prove the fault on to or off the Openreach network.
As well as providing a better end user experience, enhanced diagnostics could mean less downtime from faults and should reduce the likelihood of abortive visit charges due to a fault being raised in error.
